Beneficiaries
Neighbors Empowering Youth (NEY) is a non-profit 501(c) 3 service organization established in 1998 to provide computers and computer training to the under-served youth of the Pasadena and Altadena communities who are especially vulnerable to the effects of poverty, crime, gang involvement, unemployment and are at academic risk. |
 |
| Hundreds of Neighbors Empowering Youth PCs have already been provided to schools and low income families, giving young students an opportunity to improve their learning and realize their potential. |

“We are now starting to use refurbished computers from Neighbors Empowering Youth in our schools, as we feel that including refurbish computers into our after school training programs allows us to do more in support of teachers throughout the district”. |

 |
Refurbishment extends the lives of useful computers that are no longer needed by some, so that others can benefit from using them. A well maintained refurbished computer can be expected to provide 3 years of use for beneficiaries. |
